Ficus Carica

Ficus Carica botanical fig branch design
"The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away." Song of Solomon 2:13 · KJV

Before faith was a hashtag, it was a garden. We wanted our first design to feel like something pressed between the pages of a well-loved Bible — so we drew it like a page from a botanist's folio: a sage fig branch arcing across the chest, four five-lobed leaves, hanging figs, and one halved fig cut open to its terracotta-and-gold seed heart.

The verse is the tenderest in the Song of Songs, and it's doing quiet work: faith as cultivation — slow, seasonal, sure. Green figs don't hurry. Neither does the gardener. This piece is for the contemplative believer — the journal-keeper, the early-morning-coffee pray-er, the one whose faith runs quiet and deep.

Every leaf vein and seed was placed for this piece; "FICUS CARICA" is lettered like a natural-history plate because we wanted the design to reward a second look. Hold it up close and there's always something you didn't notice the first time — kind of like the verse itself.

Wear the verse.
